Supply that doesn't waste — your money or the planet's resources.
We're a trade counter, not a green-marketing department. But there's a lot a welding supplier can do to keep things responsible: refillable cylinders, durable kit, recyclable packaging and a range chosen to last rather than to be thrown away.
Refillable gas, not throwaway
Shielding gas should be a circular product. We supply and exchange refillable cylinders that go back, get refilled and come round again — rather than single-use disposables that end up in the bin after one job. Returning empties for exchange keeps steel in circulation and cuts the waste from one-trip canisters.
Kit that's meant to last
The most wasteful PPE is the cheap stuff you replace every few weeks. We stock auto-darkening helmets, gauntlets, aprons and respiratory gear chosen because they hold up to real use — and we hold the spares and replacement parts to keep them going.
- Replaceable parts — torch spares, helmet lenses, regulator fittings — so you repair rather than replace whole.
- Genuine consumables that last their rated life instead of burning out early and being binned.
- Honest advice on the right grade and size, so you're not over-buying kit you don't need.
Buy what you'll use. We'd rather sell you the correct disc once than the wrong one twice. Ask us and we'll point you at the right line for the job.
Packaging and recycling
Most of what we sell is metal — wire, electrodes, rod, tungstens — and metal is endlessly recyclable. Steel and aluminium offcuts, empty wire spools and stub ends all go for recycling rather than to landfill. We keep packaging sensible: cardboard and paper where we can, reused inbound boxes for outbound orders, and as little single-use plastic as the product allows.
Responsible sourcing
We buy from recognised welding brands and established UK distributors, so the product behind the label is made to a known standard with a real supply chain. Genuine, durable consumables waste less than cheap substitutes that fail early — better for your weld and for the bin.
Short miles where it counts
Holding real stock in Andover means a lot of orders are a single short journey from our counter to your bench — collected locally, or shipped once and properly rather than part-shipped from several warehouses. Backed by the Hurstbourne Forge fabrication shop next door, the whole operation runs from one Hampshire site.
Honest about it
We won't pretend a trade welding supplier is carbon-neutral. What we can do is keep cylinders circular, sell kit that lasts, recycle the metal and keep the packaging sensible. If responsible supply matters to your business, tell us what you need and we'll help you buy well.
