What to look for

Choose a torch rated at or above your machine's maximum amperage and matched to its gas type and euro/fitting connection. Air-cooled torches suit most workshop MIG up to around 300-400A; heavier continuous work benefits from water-cooled. Confirm the length and liner size, and keep matching contact tips, shrouds and a spare liner on hand.
