Fibre discs need a semi-flexible backing pad and are ideal for weld blending, deburring and paint/rust removal. Choose ceramic grain for stainless and hard alloys, and work through the grits rather than jumping — starting too fine wastes discs, starting too coarse leaves scratches you'll chase for ages.
